Congratulations Solomon Brown for achieving your Bachelor of Applied Counselling!
Solomon has been a vital member of the Safe Network team for one year, working alongside our tamariki in managing behaviours and emotions to help them reach their full potential. In that time, he has successfully juggled his work and studies to complete his Bachelor of Applied Counselling at Te Pukenga - Manukau Institute of Technology. Solomon's role involves working with children, their families, and support systems. He enjoys connecting with tamariki and contributing to a supportive environment that promotes their well-being. Despite the challenges posed by his vision impairment, which sometimes requires extra effort to read written materials, he remains dedicated to his work. Music plays a significant role in Solomon’s personal and professional life, and it helps him express himself and connect with the children he supports. His inspiration to become a counsellor came from his experience as a learning assistant, where he realised the importance of providing a safe space for children to share their thoughts and feelings. Malo le onosa’i, Malo le taumafai!
