UPDATED PROBLEM SEXUAL BEHAVIOUR APP 

Our research shows that while people may hold concerns about a young person’s sexualised behaviour, most are uncertain about whether these behaviours are just normal for that age or should be followed up on. In response, we launched our Problem Sexual Behaviour Indicator App in 2018, providing an accessible tool to help identify whether specific behaviours appeared normal, concerning or harmful.

We have recently updated the App to reflect changes in the use of technology, including the use of AI. We have also expanded the range of behaviours covered to include sexual grooming and cyber-bullying. The App is available for download from Google Play Store and the Apple iStore or can be accessed directly on www.safenet.co.nz. It provides an easily accessible tool to guide parents, teachers, social workers and health professionals on how to respond to behaviours that are concerning them.
